Egyptian Mohamed Salah was yesterday crowned the man of the match for the Reds after an inspiring performance in an away fixture against Watford.

Mohamed Salah played an integral part in Liverpool’s away win with a fine sublime solo finish and set up Sadio Mane’s goal with curling assist.

Ramy Abbas Issa, Mo Salah’s agent was at the Vicarage Road stadium, having flown in from his base in Dubai to what is believed had come to brief his client on the ongoing process of contract negotiations with Liverpool.

The two, Mohamed Salah and Ramy Abbas Issa – his agent proceeded for a dinner date at a London sushi restaurant The Araki, with both sharing photos of their meals on their Instagram stories.

With no doubt, the two – Salah and his agent Ramy Abbas were discussing contract negotiations that are currently on the table between Mo Salah’s representative and Liverpool.

The Egyptian contract at the club expires in 2023 and the club is working effortlessly to tie the now best player in the Premier League down to a considerable time at Anfield.

Several reports seen by this reporter allege that the Egyptian is asking for a double salary that will see an increment in his weekly pay packet from $274,899 to $687,249.

In contrary to these reports Liverpool Echo also weighs that Mohamed Salah has not asked for such huge amounts but the talisman is still asking for a significant pay increment as he shows no sign of bowing down on bigger stages.

Salah this season so far has netted 10 goals and assisted fourth times from only ten Liverpool games.

Klopp’s comments on Salah

Having helped his team take home all the three points at Vicarage Stadium, Liverpool’s coach Jurgen Klopp did not afford to reserve his comments on a man regarded as the best player in the Premier League.

Indeed with a form of Salah and his fellows – Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane in Liverpool’s final third, this lethal combination could guide them to another title with the Germany coach.

Jurgen Klopp showered the Egyptian with praises for his stunning performance comparing him with the likes of Messi and Ronaldo who have dominated world football for more than a decade insisting that Mo Salah was more than best.

Speaking to BT Sport after match briefing after the win in Watford Jurgen Klopp hailed his forward as the best player.

“I see him every day. That maybe makes it easier for me, but there’s [Robert] Lewandowski out there, [Cristiano] Ronaldo still scoring like crazy, and [Lionel] Messi still scoring on a world-class level. But at this moment he is for sure on top of that list.” Klopp said.

These comments for sure will play a key role in the ongoing contract negotiations to extend Salah’s contract with the club.

Although Reports say that the two parties are some way from an agreement, there is still optimism that a deal can be done.

Jurgen Klopp will not be easy to let Salah leave the club but if that happens which is not too close to, then Real Madrid may make their case.
