Career
Oleksandr Zinchenko is a product of Youth Sportive School Karpatiya of his native Radomyshl, FC Monolit Illichivsk and Shakhtar Donetsk. He was the captain of Shakhtar Donetsk youth team and scored in his side’s 1-1 draw with Manchester United in the 2013-14 UEFA Youth League.
Due to the war in Donbas, Zinchenko moved with his family to Russia and spent between five and six months playing in the amateur leagues in Moscow.
On 12 February 2015, Zinchenko signed a contract with Ufa and made his Russian Premier League debut on 20 March 2015. He scored his first goal for the club on 25 July in a 1-2 defeat against FC Rostov.
On 4 July 2016, Oleksandr Zinchenko signed for Manchester City for a fee believed to be £1.7 million. He spent the 2016-17 on loan at Eredivisie club PSV and then returned to Manchester City, making his debut in a 0-0 draw against Wolves.
