Di Maria was an unusually active infant, which worried his parents. A physician recommended Di Maria’s parents make him play football at the age of three so as to give way to his bursting energy.
Well, the trick worked well as little Di Maria became active like other kids in the neighbourhood. He even started helping his parents with their work at a local coal yard in Rosario.
Di Maria’s hobby soon became playing football. And he always wanted to have the ball around him.
At the age of four, Di Maria left his local club Torito and joined Rosario Central. Torito received 35 balls from Rosario Central as Di Maria had already committed to playing for the local club.
