1. Thomas Muller

Muller has managed 52 assists in the Bundesliga since 2020. The underrated midfielder is a top-class player who has been on form at Bayern Munich. 

Thomas Muller has consistently been recording 21 assists in the last three seasons. He had the most prolific Bundesliga season in his career when he recorded 21 assists and scored 11 goals during the 202-21 campaign.

The German international will go down in history as one of the greatest attacking midfielders the world has ever seen.  

2. Lionel Messi 

Lionel Messi is arguably the greatest footballer of his generation. The Argentine international has been the second leading assist provider in Europe’s top five leagues since 2020.

3. Filip Kostic

Filip Kostic is not among the big names in European football. However, the Eintracht Frankfurt star has been the third highest assist provider in Europe’s top five leagues since 2020. 

Kostic has provided 32 assists in the Bundesliga since 2020. The 29 years old is one of the most proficient wingers in the Bundesliga. Kostic can play on either left or right wing. 

The Serbian star has featured 78 times for Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga since 2020. Kostic’s best Bundesliga season was 2020-21, when he recorded 17 assists in 30 games. He scored four goals in that season. 

4. Domenico Berardi 

Domenico Berardi ranks fourth among players with the most assists in Europe. The Sassuolo star has managed 32 assists in the last two years. 

Domenico has been a star in Serie A for the past two-and-a-half years. He has featured in 81 games providing assists in the Serie A and cup matches. 

The 2021-22 season was Domenico’s best season as he managed 17 assists and 15 goals in 33 Serie A appearances. 

Domenico is a former Juventus player. However, he failed to feature regularly for the Old Lady during his time in Turin. The playmaker joined Sassuolo in the summer of 2015, where he got the opportunity to prove his worth. 

5. Hakan Calhanoglu 

Hakan Calhanoglu is among the few players who have moved from AC Milan to Inter Milan. The star midfielder is one of the leading assist providers in Europe. 

Calhanoglu has provided 31 assists in the Serie A since 2020. The Inter Milan playmaker had his best ever Serie A experience last season: he recorded 13 assists and scored seven goals in 34 Serie A appearances.
