PSG shortlist Liverpool's Salah as replacement for Kylian Mbappe

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have shortlisted Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah as a potential replacement for Kylian Mbappe.

There has been no shortage of transfer rumours concerning the future of the Egyptian and his future as the club as he is wanted by many European clubs.

The Spanish duo of Real Madrid and Barcelona have shown interest in the former Chelsea forward but the Egyptian has rubbished reports of an imminent departure.

PSG were looking at signing Lionel Messi in the summer as his future in the club is on the rocks but the Argentine international is poised to remain at the Catalan club.

Mbappe is Los Blancos-bound as the French World Cup winner has expressed his desire to play for the 13-times UEFA Champions League winners.

The Galacticos are leading the race for his signature and it is a matter of when the former AS Monaco player will join the La Liga giants.

Salah on the other end is instrumental to the Reds’ success both domestically and in the European competitions. He has not only played a role in front of the goal but has smashed records with the club since joining from AS Roma.

Salah is a crucial first-team player and he has expressed his desire to remain at the club and help the team win more trophies in the future.

However, it remains to be seen whether Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and the club will cash in on the winger to facilitate other transfer deals to boost the squad.

The pacey winger can provide goals, assists and is technically gifted on the ball, traits that would make him excel in France.

PSG would have to use Mbappe’s fee to facilitate Salah’s deal – if both Mbappe leaves the club – but there could be other options for the French Ligue 1 side on the table.
