This year’s summer transfer window has had its turns and twists. Even though the window will remain open for the whole of next month, some top players are yet to find a team after parting ways with their previous clubs.
This article will look at top players still without a club this summer.
1. Edinson Cavani
Edinson Cavani is one of the top players who are still free agents. The Uruguayan international left Manchester United this summer after the expiration of his contract.
Cavani joined Manchester United as a free agent on the last day of the 2020 summer transfer window. He was one of the senior players at Manchester United, loved by the fans.
Cavani was a fan favourite at Old Trafford because he produced several match-winning performances. However, Cavani struggled with injuries while at Manchester United. The arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus also reduced his game time.

Edinson Cavani just started seven Premier League games for the Red Devils last season. He left the Premier League giants at the start of this season and became a free agent.
The Uruguayan is yet to find a club. However, Borussia Dortmund are following on him.
2. Dries Mertens
Dries Mertens is one of the best Napoli players of all time. The Belgium international is the all-time leading goalscorer of Napoli in Serie A. Mertens left Napoli this summer after registering 113 goals for them in Serie A.
Mertens, 35, is not as good as he was during his prime days. However, every fan who knows him believes that he can still score goals regardless of his age.
The Belgium attacker refused to extend his stay at Napoli and opted to leave as a free agent this summer. He is still a free agent. However, due to his quality, Mertens will find a team in the coming days.
3. Isco
Isco was one of the finest midfielders in the early 2010s. The Spaniard could find his way in tight areas and still make a pass for the Real Madrid attackers to score. Isco’s technical ability was more than the other players at Real Madrid.
However, Real Madrid changing managers affected the central midfielder’s output on the pitch. Isco struggled in his last years with the Los Blancos as he became an ordinary player. He started just 11 games in the last two seasons.
Isco parted ways with Real Madrid at the start of this summer transfer window and is yet to find a new team. However, Isco is on the radar of AS Roma, Real Betis and Sevilla. He is one of the free agents who will get a new club before the window is closed.
4. Aaron Ramsey
During his days with Arsenal, Aaron Ramsey was one of the best midfielders in Europe. The Wales international can play in any midfield position.
Ramsey joined Juventus from Arsenal in 2019. Things didn’t work out well with Ramsey at Juventus as he expected. The midfielder couldn’t deliver as Juventus wanted. After spending the second half of last season on loan at Rangers, Ramsey left the club as a free agent this summer.
Aaron Ramsey is desperate to find a team where he can get playing time. He wants to be in the Wales squad that will play the 2022 World Cup tournament.

Andrea Belotti is still a free agent. The Italian striker refused to renew his contract with Torino and opted to be a free agent.
Belotti was one of the most promising strikers in Europe in the second half of the 2010s. However, he has struggled with injuries which have negatively affected his talent.
The Italian made 22 appearances for Torino last season, scoring eight goals and providing one assist.
Andrea Belotti is in AS Roma’s radar as the Italian club is reportedly interested in signing him.
