Kylian Mbappe has for long admired Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp and does not mind working him at Real Madrid. This is one of the conditions he has given if he will ever join the club from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).
Mbappe has always been Klopp’s biggest fan in international football praising him for bringing back the Reds to life.
He was all praises for Klopp in the 2020 season saying that he made winning Premier League look very easy.
“They have made winning look easy but the truth is that it is never easy,” Mbappe said. “To be as ruthless as they have been would come from lots of hard work in training and from having a very good manager.”
Mbappe only Joins Real Madrid With Klopp

Just recently, Spanish newspaper EL Nacional reported that Mbappe talked his heart with Real about Klopp. He reportedly told the club that he will only move to the Spanish capital if Klopp becomes Real’s manager.
Mbappe who has a few months left to his contract with PSG said he is not convinced by Carlos Ancelloti’s leadership at Real Madrid. This follows months by Los Blancos to poach him from PSG.
Ancelloti has helped the Spanish giants sail through to a second place in the La Liga chart after a sluggish start. Things look promising for the club with a game in hand – meaning they could rise to the top if they win.
Currently, Real Sociedad leads but is only a point ahead of Real Madrid. The Italian’s future in Spain is shaky with the eventuality of a sack being a reality.
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez in the 2014/15 season sacked Ancelotti and he can always do it again to create a way for Klopp to join the team. But, this would only be if Klopp accepted to shift base to Spain from Liverpool.
Would Jürgen Klopp be willing to Move to Spain From Liverpool?
Klopp has in the past spoken of his admiration for Spanish clubs – Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Atlético Madrid. In fact, he once said that he would not regret either of these clubs but, he does not have time to learn Spanish.
“I would fit all of them! But I have no time and my Spanish is really bad! Real Mallorca would be nice! To live at least!” Sadly, this means that he would have to decline the opportunity and stay with Liverpool.
So, where does this leave Mbappe? The PSG forward would have no choice other than renewing his contract with Parc des Princes or moving to Liverpool next summer.
Klopp’s contract with Liverpool runs through to 2024 and Mbappe could play under him until then before moving to Madrid.
Mbappe Always Wanted to Join Real Madrid
Just before the lapsing of the summer transfer window in August 2021, Mbappe frantically tried to join Los Blancos from PSG but it did not work out.
Real Madrid had been in talks with PSG for weeks and even made a third and last offer for Mbappe of £171.6m (€200m).
However, PSG remained mum on the issue by the deadline of the summer transfer window forcing Mbappe to stay at Parc des Princes.
This is despite offering a further £8.57m (€10m) in add-ons according to SkySports.
The Spanish club had a week before the transfer window elapsed given PSG another bid of £145.6m – up from the initial £137m made for the first time.

PSG rejected this offer terming it a far cry from Mbappe’s real worth. The offer was considered to be a far cry from what Kylian is worth today.
Later, PSG sporting director sporting director Leonardo Nascimento de Araújo said Mbappe’s future is with PSG. Leonardo said that Mbappe has a deeply intricate relationship with PSG, thus, his future in Spain is bleak.
Hours to August 31 closure of the summer transfer window, PSG maintained a studious silence on Real’s offer.
Earlier, Leonardo opined PSG was done with Mbappe’s talks with Real.
“We have no plans to talk to Real Madrid again. The deadline is August 31 at midnight. That’s how the transfer window is, but we are clear about this: we want to keep him and extend his deal.
“But we’re not going to let him go for less than what we paid for him when we still owe Monaco money,” Leonardo opined.
