Jakub Kiwior is a Poland professional footballer who currently plays for Premier League club Arsenal as a defender and the Poland national team. Born in Poland, his passion began at an early age and his professional journey began at a local club, GKS Tychy.
While at the academy, he demonstrated a raw talent and he caught the attention of Belgian academy R.S.C. Anderlecht where he joined the club’s ranks. He showed promise to the youth teams of the club eventually breaking into the first team. However, he faced some challenges and was sent on loan with Slovakian club FK Zeleziarne Podbrezova, a move that granted him an opportunity to experience.
His skills at the club were impressive and he became a key player for Podbrezova, which attracted the attention of MSK Zilina, another Slovenian club which secured his transfer. The defender continued shining with his defensive skills, contributing to Zilina’s triumph into the Slova Second Division and his consistent display led to Italian club Spezia Calcio signing him the following year.
During his tenure in Italy, the 23-year-old debuted against Inter Milan and this is where he found his new position as a central defender and became a cornerstone of Spezia’s backline. His impressive performance attracted Premier League club Arsenal who signed him in 2023.

Internationally, the player has represented the Polish national team and was called up for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar where he cemented his place throughout the tournament.

Born and raised in Tychy, Poland, the defender started his early education in his hometown where he is expected to have completed his primary and secondary education before relocating to Belgium to join club Anderlecht Academy.

The player’s life began on February 15 2000 in the Polish City of Tychy where he was born by his Polish parents. His love for football blossomed at an early age and he joined a local club by the name GKS Tychy.
While playing for his local club, he was scouted by R.S.C Anderlecht academy in Belgium and this was a turning point in his career. While playing for the club’s youth teams, he had some challenges and was loaned to Slovakian club FK Zeleziarne Podbrezova, proving a pivotal moment that granted him valuable play time and experience.
He was signed by another Slovakian club MSK Zilina and helped the club get into the Slovak Second Division which led to the attention of Italian club Spezia Calcio who signed him the following year. The young defender played for the club for two seasons until he was signed by a Premier League club in 2023.
