MICHAEL SCHUMACHER ACCIDENT

His wife Corinna Schumacher has taken care of her husband of 28 years ever since the tragic accident happened. The seven-time Formula 1 world champion sustained severe head injuries following the accident on December 29, 2013. According to the German publication BILD, Schumacher was reportedly given a ride in a Mercedes AMG car as part of his care and rehabilitation.

The aim was to stimulate his brain with familiar sounds, considering his extensive racing career that spanned over two decades. He started off at the Belgian Grand Prix in 1991 and he took years of learning and sharpening his skill to become the best Ferrari and Red Bull drivers F1 has had.

WAS MICHAEL SCHUMACHER WEARING A HELMET IN SKI ACCIDENT?

Despite wearing a helmet, Schumacher fell and struck his head on a rock while traversing an unsecured off-piste area. Recently, his brother Ralf conceded that Schumacher may never fully recover from the serious head injury sustained in the accident.

Although Ralf admits his brother will never recover, he has a team of up to 15 physicians, masseurs, and aides. They provide him with the best care possible around-the-clock despite one of his doctors saying he is in a vegetative state. Corinna now runs the show with strict rules on who should visit her husband and who cannot.

WHAT INJURIES DID MICHAEL SCHUMACHER SUFFER?

Michael Schumacher accident left him with serious brain damage. His former manager Willi Weber recently said that he lost hope of ever seeing Schumacher. Weber says 10 years after Schumacher’s skiing accident, he has no optimism left about ever seeing him or getting positive news.

Up until 2012, Weber oversaw Schumacher’s career, which is a noteworthy and crucial time in the legendary Formula One driver’s career. Early in the 1990s, Weber—a former talent scout—saw Schumacher’s potential and they started working together. Schumacher rose to become one of the most prosperous and successful athletes of all time with Weber’s help.

Weber’s involvement went beyond simple financial dealings; he helped to build a strong bond with Schumacher and his family. In addition to the German driver, Weber competed in Formula One as Ralf Schumacher’s brother until November 2005.

Unfortunately, since Schumacher’s horrific skiing accident, Weber has conveyed a deep feeling of pessimism about his health. Since then, there have been no encouraging updates, so Weber has come to terms with the possibility that he won’t see the F1 veteran again.

Speaking about Schumacher’s accident, Weber said he sobbed deeply when he learned the awful news and that his chances of ever seeing the 54-year-old again are very slim.

“When I think of Michael now, unfortunately I don’t have anymore hope that I will see him again. No positive news after ten years,” he said during an interview with Cologne Express.

His biggest regret yet is not visiting his longtime friend immediately after the December 2013 skiing accident.

“I regret that very much and blame myself. I should have visited Michael in the hospital. I mourned like a dog after his accident. It hit me incredibly hard, you can imagine that. But at some point, the point came when I had to free myself from Michael and let go,” he added.
