At only 19 years old, the victory at the US Open greatly boosted American tennis player Coco Gauff earnings 2023.
Gauff in a historic Grand Slam final against Belarus’ tennis star Aryna Sabalenka to win 2-6, 6-3, 6-2. This remains her most significant match to date.
Her win over Sabalenka thrust her into the annals of American tennis history. She is the third American teenager to claim the US Open women’s title. This is an achievement she dreamt of while idolizing Serena Williams who triumphed for the first time in 1999 as a teenager.
Besides making this history, her maiden Grand Slam bumped up Gauff’s net earnings in 2023 to a staggering $11.1 million. Her 2023 season earnings are north of $5.5 million, thanks to a $3 million cash prize at the US Open.
What’s more, is that Gauff would still have a sizable money account even without the Grand Slam victory because of her expanding portfolio of endorsement contracts.

The endorsements form a huge part of her express conduit to her $11.1 million career earnings so far.
Throughout her participation in the US Open, Gauff consistently showcased her maroon New Balance attire, complemented by Bose headphones and a Head racket, spotlighting her association with these sponsors who have rallied behind the 19-year-old.
Among the array of brands affiliated with the young tennis sensation are Barilla, UPS, and Baker Tilly.
While the precise figures for Gauff’s endorsement earnings in 2023 remain undisclosed, Forbes previously disclosed her earnings at $8 million in 2023.
Her victory at the US Open now opened the floodgates of more endorsements and she is ready to make the most out of this victory.
The American tennis teen star says this is a moment she hoped for since she was 15 and all she wanted was to be like Serena.
Her endorsements represent Black American players in the campaign for equality after years of racial discrimination by some corporate sponsors.
In addition to her endorsement agreements, Gauff has demonstrated her willingness to voice her opinions on matters close to her heart.
She revealed that she drew inspiration from critical comments on social media leading up to her match against Sabalenka.

Furthermore, she expressed solidarity with the protesters who disrupted her semifinal, causing a 50-minute delay, as they aimed to raise awareness about climate change.
Just before the final match on Sunday, Gauff left many people in utter awe after disclosing that she was employing the ‘Mamba Mentality’ preached by the late NBA legend Kobe Bryant.
She said that while she felt great advancing to the US Open finals, it wasn’t a reason enough to celebrate until she won the Grand Slam.
Bryant was synonymous with “the job is not done” statement whenever LA Lakers qualified for a big match.
She told reporters the same thing after the qualifying match against Karolina Muchova. Gauff admittedly said that she admired Bryant’s mentality, particularly during the NBA Finals when his team had a lead.
