Ivana Knoll, a German-born designer and model from Croatia stole the show in Qatar World Cup.
Even a resounding 3-0 defeat by Argentina in the semi-finals, it’s hard to forget about this damsel who sent shockwaves in this Arabian country. She uploaded two images of herself wearing a thong bikini with a Croatian influence before the competition, claiming they were taken on a beach in Qatar.
In different Croatian matches, she always stole the show with her suggestive outfits in widely conservative country.
IVANA KNOLL DRESSING IN QATAR
Ivana Knoll was born in in Frankfurt, Germany then moved to Croatia where she grew up and her allegiances lay by the clothes she wears. She did not give a hoot to warning issued to World Cup fans visiting Qatar about the code of conduct there.
The UK Foreign Office recommended female visitors to cover their shoulders and refrain from donning short skirts. Ivana, however, asserted that she was yet to face any issues with Qatari law enforcement or security personnel.

She says that she was astonished to learn about the rules in Qatar ahead of the World Cup. What shocked her most was that she didn’t have any clothes to cover her shoulders, knees, tummy and legs as directed by Qatari authorities.
This got her furious because back home, her culture accepts Muslims in hijab and niqab. So, she couldn’t understand why their lifestyle wasn’t allowed in Qatar.
However, she was taken aback when she realized that there were no dress code issues per se. She was only required to tone down whenever she was in a government buildings.
She said that she was “never terrified” of getting jailed and questioned how wearing a bikini or a dress could harm someone.
IVANA KNOLL WORLD CUP HISTORY
Ivana first gained notoriety for her attire at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, and she said she is accustomed to people approaching her for pictures. She spends most of her time in Croatia and the US.
She says fans in Qatar love her sense of fashion which is why they photograph her a lot and keep asking for her photos. If she offends anyone, she says that these kind of requests wouldn’t be available.
“Many of the Qatari people came to me to photograph me. If they hate it and they have something against it, they wouldn’t do it. I think it’s just another way of life, me and them” news.au reports.

Non-Qatari women are not required to wear the long, black robe known as the abaya, but they are still required to wear clothing that covers their midriffs, shoulders, and knees.
Additionally, women entering the Arab country are not permitted to display any cleavage or wear attire that is too tight.
In an effort to conceal their busts, WAGs were encouraged to wrap a scarf over their necks.
Before the World Cup, the Qatar tourism board issued a warning. Visitors (men and women) are encouraged to demonstrate respect for local culture by avoiding extremely revealing apparel in public.
Men and women should normally make sure their shoulders and knees are covered.
