The Anoa’i Family Tree
The founders of the Samoan family were Elder Reverend Amituana’i Anoa’i and his wife, Tovaleomanaia Leoso Ripley.
The couple had seven sons; Tumua, Anoa’i Jr, Arthur (Afa), Leati (Sika), Tusipa, Peteroni and Fasito’o. They also had four daughters; Sina, Matalima, Nita (Initalia) and Elevera.
Tumua gave birth to Reno Anoa’i, who married Tiffany Smith-Anoa’i. Tumua is the grandfather of Reno Anoa’i. Reno reached the finals of the American Idol 2014 season.
Anoa’i Jr gave birth to Rodney Anoa’i, popularly known as Yokozuna. Yokozuna (October 2, 1966 – October 23, 2000) was best known for his time with World Wrestling Federation (WWF), where he was a two-time world champion.
Amituana’i’s sons Afa and Sika became professional wrestlers forming the tag team Wild Samoans. They held 21 tag team championships in their wrestling career.

Sika married Patricia Hooker, and they gave birth to five children – two boys and three girls. Sika’s two sons became professional wrestlers using the ring names Rosey and Roman Reigns.
Rosey (April 7, 1970 – April 17, 2017) is a former WCW World Tag Team Champion with Tahiti and World Tag Team Champion with The Hurricane.
Afa had three sons who are all professional wrestlers – Samuel is known to many wrestling fans as The Great Samu, Afa Jr is best known as Manu and Lloyd is popularly known as L.A. Smooth. Samuel married Melissa Fritz and gave birth to five children, including Lance Anoa’i.
Afa’s daughter, Monica Anoa’i, was the wife of American professional wrestler Gary Albright (May 18, 1963 – January 7, 2000).
Elder Reverend’s daughter, Elevera, was the wife of Solofa Fatu and together to four sons. Three of Solofa’s children became professional wrestlers – Solofa Fatu ( known to many as Rikishi), Edward Smith Fatu (popularly known as Umaga) and Samuel Fatu (The Tonga Kid).

Elder Reverend, the founder of the Anoa’i family, considered Peter Maivia (April 6, 1937 – June 13, 1982) his blood brother. And that led to Elder’s children referring to Maivia as their uncle.
Peter Maivia married Lia Maivia, and they gave birth to a daughter named Ata Maivia.
Ata Maivia was married to Rocky Johnson, and the couple gave birth to Peter Fanene Jr, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Toa.
