Alexander Volkanovski, on the other hand, continues to emerge as a top UFC fighter. The 33-year-old has enjoyed great success in the octagon ring in recent years.
Alexander, who currently has total control of the featherweight division, has been an underrated talent over the years.

He wants to be the GOAT of UFC for several years before retiring. Alexander will remain active so as to achieve his dreams of being one of the greatest athletes of all time.
Alexander Volkanovski’s Career
Alexander Volkanovski, UFC number one fighter, fought in various MMA organizations between 2012 and 2016.
Before joining UFC, Alexander had a record of 13-1 and won two Australian Fighting Championship (AFC) featherweight titles. He also won a Pacific Xtreme Combat (PXC) title.
He made his UFC professional debut on November 26, 2016, against Yusuke Kasuya at UFC Fight Night 101. The Australian international defeated Yusuke and announced afterwards that he would be competing in the featherweight division.
Alexander Volkanovski’s first featherweight fight was to be against Michel Quinones in February 2017. However, the fight did not happen because Michel had suffered an injury several days before.
Alexander faced Mizuto Hirota at UFC Fight Night 110 four months later. The Australian won his featherweight clash by unanimous decision after knocking out Hirota in the second round.
Alexander had his second fight in the featherweight division at UFC 221, where he defeated Shane Young via unanimous decision.
After defeating Max Holloway, the Australian mixed martial artist won his first title, UFC Featherweight Championship, on December 14, 2019.
He defended his UFC Featherweight title for the first time at UFC 251 on July 11, 2020. Alexander won the match against Max Holloway via split decision.
However, his victory turned out to be controversial among media outlets. 18 out of 27 media scores believed Max Holloway won the fight.
Alexander Volkanovski made his second defence of the UFC Featherweight Championship on September 25, 2021. He faced Brian Ortega at UFC 266 and won the match via unanimous decision.
However, the Brian Ortega Vs. Alexander Volkanovski fight was not an easy one for the current UFC number one fighter. He had to escape multiple submission attempts as he showed perseverance. In the end, his victory earned him the Fight of the Night award.
Alexander Volkanovski was to face Max Holloway for the third time in UFC on March 5, 2022. However, Max could not make it to the fight due to an injury.
Chan Sung Jung replaced Holloway, and the Korean Zombie faced Alexander at UFC 273. Volkanovski won the title bout via TKO in the fourth round.

The Australian star dominated his opponent in the first three rounds of the fight. His outstanding performance against Korean Zombie earned him the Performance of the Night award. The fight also earned him a second position in the Fan Bonus of the Night award.
Alexander Volkanovski had his last fight on July 2, 2022, at UFC 276. He defeated his opponent, Max Holloway, via a unanimous decision to retain his title.

The UFC number one fighter is currently not active in boxing. However, he competed as a professional boxer prior to his UFC debut.
Alexander Volkanovski fought a single boxing match, which was against Dillon Bargero in the Super welterweight. He defeated Dillon by unanimous decision after four rounds.

Alexander Volkanovski lost to Corey Nelson via TKO (head kick and punches) on May 10, 2013, at the AFC Welterweight Tournament Quarterfinal.
