 The official draw for the forthcoming FIFA World Cup in Qatar late this year was made public on Friday. For the elite teams, it was a stressful one because they were all hoping for a manageable group of games.

However, the puzzle for the lesser clubs was whether one could pull off the biggest upset.

1. Spain Vs Germany – Group E

When Spain and Germany, two footballing titans, face off, every football will have their eyes locked on their TV.

The European Championships and the FIFA World Cup have seen many encounters between these two sides, with Germany enjoying the head-to-head lead.

However, Spain defeated the Germans 6-0 in their most recent meeting, which took place in the UEFA Nations League in November 2020.

Despite the past outcomes, the next match between the two teams at the World Cup will undoubtedly be exciting.

2 France Vs Denmark – Group D

The underdogs in Euro 2020, Denmark advanced to the semifinals. They are also a top contender, and Cristian Eriksen’s homecoming to the main stage following his health issue will undoubtedly bring a lot of intrigues and boost the side.

Current champions France will try to forget their underwhelming showing at Euro 2020. However, in Group D, Denmark will be their most challenging opponent.

The World Cup has a history of producing shockers, and Denmark has a chance to shock the reigning champs.

3 Argentina Vs Poland – Group C

Argentina’s and Poland’s two top-tier strikers will be the highlight of the match a. The clash between the two greats, Lionel Messi and Robert Lewandowski, will undoubtedly be tantalising.

 The Polish will have a case to make since he would have felt wronged when Messi received the Ballon d’Or in 2021 instead of him.

4 Portugal Vs Uruguay – Group H

 Portugal’s encounter against Uruguay will be a challenging and tightly contested contest. With players like Fede Valverde and Edinson Cavani, Uruguay has a squad that can compete with any favourite.

Along with having one of their greatest teams in the World Cup, Portugal, on the other hand, has Bruno Fernandes, Ruben Dias, Joao Cancelo, Pepe, and Diogo Jota.

The matchup between Luis Suarez and Cr7, hoping to make a splash in their final World Cup, will, nevertheless, be the centre of attention.

5 England Vs USA – Group B

Fans may look forwards to an exciting match when the United States plays England. With their great footballers,/ the US will be trying to turn circumstances around at the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Unlike their women’s squad, the USMNT has been unimpressive.

They entered the competition after winning the CONCACAF Gold Cup, defeating Mexico in the championship match.

With appearances in the semifinals of the 2018 World Cup and the Euro 2020 finals, England seemed to have found its footing at last.

The USA and England both boast some of the best athletes in the world, so their matchup is guaranteed to be tantalising.

6 Belgium Vs Croatia – Group F

Belgium and Croatia will face off in the Group F matchup’s decisive match. The so-called “golden generation” of Belgians was held in high regard, yet they have fallen short of expectations.

After Croatia lost to France in the finals of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the team will be looking for different results this time. As a result, the matchup between two of the world’s best teams will undoubtedly be explosive.

7 Senegal Vs Netherlands – Group A

The Oranje have participated in the majority of World Cup finals, yet they have never taken home the championship.

They’ve had three close calls where they advanced to the finals but lost. Senegal enters Qatar fresh from its victory in the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations.

From Virgil van Dijk, Memphis Depay, and Matthijs de Light, among others, the Dutch have one of the world’s most interesting starting teams.

Sadio Mane and Virgil van Dijk, two of Liverpool’s best players, will also square off throughout the game. The World Cup matchup between Senegal and the Netherlands, which is their opening game in Group A, will be challenging.

8 Argentina Vs Mexico – Group C

Mexico has a somewhat evenly-balanced team going into the FIFA World Cup 2022. Although there aren’t many well-known players on their team, guys like Raul Jimenez and Hirving Lozano have the talent to change the course of a match.

Although the Mexicans will be a formidable opponent, Lionel Messi and company are among the favourites to win the championship.

Although the match doesn’t seem all that intriguing on paper, it will undoubtedly be a great game at the FIFA World Cup 2022.

9 Canada Vs Croatia – Group F

 Canada has not participated in the World Cup for 36 years. However, the team has several promising players, including Alphonso Davies of Bayern Munich.

The two teams’ contest will be challenging as the seasoned Croatians, guided by Luka Modric, take on the inexperienced Canadians.

10 Portugal Vs South Korea – Group H

Son Heung-min will try to upset Cristiano Ronaldo when South Korea takes on Portugal in a fierce match.

Portugal travelled a little more extended trip to the 2022 FIFA World Cup after winning the playoff matches against North Macedonia and Turkey.

While Son wants to push his country’s squad as far as possible, Ronaldo wants to take his club to the pinnacle of success.
