The United States sprint coach Rana Reider has been kicked out of the ongoing World Athletic Championship in Oregon after he allegedly gained unauthorized access to the warm-up area of the athletes.

Reider, who coaches Team GB’s Adam Gemili was not accredited for the ongoing event at Hayward Field and he is now under investigation over sexual misconduct.
According to World Athletics in a statement when the security team at the event was notified he refused to leave until when the police were notified.
“Event security discovered an unaccredited person in the athlete warm-up area. He was asked to leave, and he refused.
“Police were immediately notified and went to remove him from the venue. When he observed police officers approaching him, he left the venue. Outside the venue, he was stopped by police and advised that if he returned to the venue he would be arrested for trespassing.”
The US Centre for SafeSport is now investigating misconduct against him after Multiple complaints were raised and In November 2021, all British athletes were told to “cease all association” with Reider until the investigation ends.
The statements read; “Following information from the US Center for SafeSport that multiple complaints of sexual misconduct have been made against Coach Rana Reider and that an investigation in the US is imminent, UK Athletics has informed UK athletes currently being coached by him to cease all association until the conclusion of this process.”
Even after the Athletes were called upon to cease the association only Daryll Neita left Reider’s training Camp that is based in Florida. However Gemili and Laviai Nielsen opted to stay with this leading to their removal from the UK Athletics World Class Program in December.
Apart from Gemili Reider also coaches Americas Marvin Bracy and Trayvon Bromell, who both won silver and bronze respectively in the men’s 100m race that was held on Saturday.

As an established coach, he among the top track and field coaches, having been behind the success of a number of elite athletes including Olympic 200m champion Andre de Grasse and four-time triple jump world champion Christian Taylor.
He is a former employee of the UK Athletics and he currently trains athletes at the Tumbleweed Track Club in Jacksonville, Florida a training facility that was recently moved from the Netherlands.
World Athletics championships are ongoing in Oregon and set to end 24th July.
