Manchester United again showed interest in signing Antony after the reports that Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave Old Trafford this summer. However, Ajax are not willing to let Antony go this summer.
Ajax have raised Antony’s transfer fee from 67 to 84 million euros. According to Telegraaf journalist Mike Verweij, Ajax will only do business with Manchester United if they offer more than 83 million euros for Antony’s transfer.
The Eredivisie giants are desperate to keep Antony as part of their squad next season. Ajax have already sold Nicolas Tagliafico, Ryan Gravenberch, Sebastian Haller and Lisandro Martinez this summer.
They raised around 100 million euros for the players who joined new teams this window. Ajax have used a good percentage of the money in signing Steven Bergwijn, Francisco Canceicao, Brian Brobbey, Calvin Bassey and Owen Wijndal.
The signing of Manchester United depends on whether Cristiano Ronaldo stays or leaves this summer. Cristiano wants to leave Manchester United this summer. The Portuguese striker has been forcing a move out of Old Trafford because he wants to play Champions League next season.
