Manchester City and PSG are expected to step up their efforts to sign Norway forward Erling Haaland following reports that Real Madrid submitted a formal proposal to the striker in recent weeks. His €75m release clause at Borussia Dortmund kicks in this summer.

After respective January moves fell through, Arsenal and Barcelona will make fresh approaches for Alvaro Morata this summer, with the player keen on a move to Camp Nou.

Tottenham is currently the favourites to sign Netherlands centre-back Stefan de Vrij from Inter, with the defender a favourite of current Spurs boss Antonio Conte.

The Red Devils are also planning to trigger an extension in right-back Diogo Dalot’s contract, leaving the future of Aaron Wan-Bissaka – who has been benched in recent weeks – in uncertain territory.

Pep Guardiola and Manchester City are monitoring Nico Gonzalez’s situation in Barcelona. The 20-year-old midfielder has a £500m release clause but his contract in Catalonia expires in 20 months.

Leeds are planning to rebuff any offers for star winger Raphinha until 2023 at the earliest. The club is also expecting Marcelo Bielsa to leave in the summer after he admitted it’s impossible to compete in the Premier League
