After finishing the men’s 50km mass start cross country skiing race, a Winter Olympian suffered an “unbearably” painful frozen penis.

Remi Lindholm of Finland took little under an hour and 16 minutes to complete the route, which had been cut from 50km to 30km due to wind warnings of up to 40mph in -16C (3F) temperatures.

Lindholm needed a warming pack at the end of the race to warm out his genitals, despite the new distance.

“When the body parts started to warm up after the finish, the pain was unbearable,” said Lindholm.

“You can guess which body part was a little bit frozen when I finished (the men’s Olympic 50km race)

It was one of the worst competitions I’ve been in. It was just about battling through,” he told Finnish media.

According to Reuters, this isn’t the first time Lindholm’s penis has frozen in the middle of a race; a similar incident occurred during a cross-country skiing tournament in Finland in 2021.

Thankfully, Lindholm’s injuries did not prevent him from taking in his country’s unexpected gold medal in Men’s Hockey, as well as the closing ceremony on Sunday.

The Olympic Games are the world’s only truly global multi-sport

athletics competition.

With more than 200 countries participating in over 400 events across the Summer and Winter Games, the Olympics are where the world comes to compete, feel inspired, and be together.

Popular sports included in Winter Olympic Games

The Winter Olympic Games are a major international multi-sport event conducted every four years for snow and ice-based sports. The first Winter Olympics, held in Chamonix, France in 1924, were the first Winter Olympics.

The ancient Olympic Games, which were held in Olympia, Greece, from the 8th century BC to the 4th century AD, were the inspiration for the modern Olympic Games.

Cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, snowboarding, ski jumping, speed skating, figure skating, luge, skeleton, bobsleigh, ski orienteering, and snowmobiling are all popular individual sports.

Ice hockey, ringette, broomball (on an indoor ice rink, an outdoor ice rink, or a field of snow), curling, and bandy are all popular team sports.

Ice hockey is the most popular winter team sport in the world, followed by bandy in terms of participation

Citing concerns about frostbite during Saturday’s race, organizers decided to delay it by an hour and shorten it.

As the winds around Beijing blew up, the Windchill factor made temperatures seem like -32C (-26F), according to NBC News.

The athletes’ light suits and underlayers, as well as plasters to cover their faces and ears, provided little protection.

Despite making the sacrifice, Lindholm finished in 28th position. Alexander Bolshunov of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) won the event.
