While most of us have spent our teens in secondary schools and university, or making mischief others were enjoying their best times in what they love.

These players put their talent into use and have risen to greater achievement on the pitch statistics and numbers speaking for themselves. Although not all could have achieved the same milestone, the awe in how they achieved it mesmerized their fans across the globe.

We have taken at the 8 best teenagers with more goals in the history of the Premier League.

1. Robbie Fowler

The former Liverpool footballer set the bar higher racking up 40 goals in his teen days to his name a margin that may take longer to be broken.

As a striker, he did not end there but his prolific goal-scoring prowess saw him score 162 in England’s top flight before deciding to call off his career in Australia, Thailand, and India.

2. Michael Owen

Michael Owen was a standout footballer in his teen days. He scored a total of 35 goals in those years including an 18-goal season in the league before going on his way to another one both of which won him the Golden Boot.

The former Man United forward would go on to win a Ballon d’Or but what was much more entertaining was the English player style of playing he was a threat to defenders who tried to stop him.

3. Wayne Rooney

The Manchester United legend played for both Everton and Manchester United during his teen days combining goals from the two teams to reach a tally of 30 goals.

This exemplary performance these days landed him a Golden Boy award in 2004. His most landmark strike in his teen days was that wonder strike against Arsenal. He has since registered a total of 208 goals in the League.

4. Mason Greenwood

The English wonderkind has been impressive since he got his promotion to the senior squad at Old Trafford. Mason Greenwood scored the only goal for Manchester United in the weekend’s defeat to Leicester City.

Greenwood who has also been shortlisted in the 20-man Golden Boy award this year has registered 20 Premier League goals to his name before turning 20 years old at the beginning of October.

The United academy graduate has been clinical in most of his finishes and has been likened to former player Robin Van Persie. so far this season Greenwood has registered four goals in 10 games, scoring the first three in his first three games.

5. Nicolas Anelka

Nicolas Anelka had an incredible run when he joined Arsenal from Ligue 1 club Paris Saint Germain where he had scored 11 goals for his club.

On joining Arsenal Anelka was another person in another country and the atmosphere was different it seemed like the environment was so much conducive for the french man who scored 19 goals before turning 20 years for Arsenal.

In his signature teenage goal that announced his entrance into the Premier League in style, he scored in a 3-2 win against Man City.

Anelka has won 2 Champions Leagues, 1 Premier League, three FA Cups, European Championship, and the Serie A title among others.

6. Alan Smith

Alan Smith was a brilliant Leeds attacker who scored 17 Premier League goals that Leeds United has not found any other player to reach this mark so far.

There aren’t many better ways to announce yourself in the league than scoring the equalizer to kickstart a win against Liverpool and that is exactly what he did. The future England international seemed to especially enjoy facing Spurs, scoring four goals in three games against them as a teenager.

7. Francis Jeffers

Francis Jeffers might not have stayed long in the League but he managed to score 16 Premier League goals in his teen days while at Everton.

Some of his goals were fine finishes against good English good sides and rivals Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspurs, and Liverpool.

8. Raheem Sterling

The England forward was something else in the Liverpool squad before forcing his exit to move to Manchester City. He has since been booed by Liverpool fans when the two sides meet.
