Mark Otieno Odhiambo who’s currently at the Team Kenya Camp in Kurume,Japan is eager for the Olympic saying the pre Olympics training camp idea has acted as a game changer to his preparations ahead of Tokyo 2020 Olympics.


The Athlete said this on Monday evening after his training session at Fukuoka prefecture Kurume Sports Centre.
‘Right now I’m trying peak for the event’. He said.
Otieno is hopefull and he added that things are looking good for the for the next week despite the sun intensity.
‘Things are looking good for next week and I’m trying to maximize on the humidity. As much as the sun is intense, if you stay hydrated,all will be well’.
The spiritual man has been pushing on youths to turn into salvation together with his wife Stephanie Muluka besides working on improving his game ie speed.
Olympic training camp idea has been of great impact and he says it has been a game changer and he done much what is remaining is save the remaining time to polish up.
‘I’m checking on my technique right now and working on my diet, changing a few things in the last two weeks.’
He used the opportunity to thank the government and Olympic organizers for organizing for the camp.
‘I’d like to thank the government and Olympic Committee for organizing this camp. To acclimatize ahead of a major completion is something good. In fact that is what most top athletes’ do they don’t train at home but look for good pre-season training camps.’
Otieno has hard great achievements for the last four years in his 100 and 200 metres races.
He run 20.41 seconds in 200m at Kasari june 10,2017 and later improved his 100m personal time to 10.05 seconds during Olympic Qualifiers.
Few days to the opening ceremony Kenya’s chef de mission Waithaka Kioni said everything is going on well despite the fact that the women’s rugby team is still under quarantine but he’s working tirelessly to see them join the rest of the team.

‘I will be speaking with the doctor in charge of quarantine tomorrow [today] to appraise myself on the situation and see what can be done to have the players join the rest of the team,’’ Kioni Said.
Kioni who doubles up as the President Kenya Volleyball Federation also revealed that Team Kenya was issued 87 Samsung S21 range of mobile phones for the team based on their qualification.
“These phones are strictly for players only and there are no extras to give officials. Samsung have given them based on thwir qualification to compete at the Olympics for which we were extremely grateful,” Kion Said
Meanwhile Team taekwondo and women’s beach volleyball team arrived at the Olympic Village last night.
