Ethiopia booked their place at the next round of the Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022 after an away 1-1 draw against Lesotho in Maseru on Sunday.
They advanced on the away-goal rule after a 1-1 tie on aggregate.
A goalless draw in the first leg in Bahir Dar last week gave Lesotho a huge boost; however, it was Ethiopia who had the last laugh by securing a place at the second step of the continental journey to Qatar.
After a barren first-half, Ethiopia went up on 50 minutes when a cross by Mesfin Tafesse deflected off Nkau Lerotholi for the opener.
Seven minutes later, a free-kick by Tsepo Seturumane glanced off Tafesse and into the net for the equaliser.
Ethiopia held on to the stalemate and now go through to the next round.
