Stefano Tsitsipas girlfriend Theodora Petalas is a unique force who handles what pundits describe as the most depressing traits in tennis players.

She is the woman behind the Tsitsipas’ glow, a Greek player who once contemplated quitting tennis over defeat and injury. But the charming Petalas is always there for the world No. 4.

Theodora Petalas is the whole reason why the Stefano Tsitsipas girlfriend debate is up. Petalas works as a strategist at a marketing and branding agency in London, UK but is originally from Greece. Before relocating to London, she lived in the United States and attended New York University, where she pursued a bachelor’s degree in arts.

She also holds a master’s degree in science, focusing on project management and technology. Tsitsipas acknowledged in 2021 that he was dating Petalas after his first meeting in New York through family friends. He was smitten at first sight, but he didn’t tell her anything.

He would ask her out thereafter; it is a significant relationship so far, even though it is a long-distance relationship. Tsitsipas spends most of the year on tour but cherishes every moment they spend together.

Petalas doesn’t frequently attend Tsitsipas’ matches because she resides in London, which is a little bit challenging for them. Thankfully, he says it is always to the extremes of compromise since she attends some of his matches to support him and spend time together.

Stefano Tsitsipas girlfriend also loves playing tennis – although not on a professional level. So when the two of them are together, they enjoy serving each other great tennis shots. Tsitsipas says playing against Petalas is among his favourite moments in his tennis career.

The 24-year-old Greek athlete already holds the record for highest-ranked Greek player in history after reaching his career-high position of World No. 3. He has participated in 24 finals on the Tour; he has won 9 of them, and he has placed second in 15 other competitions, including the 2021 French Open, his first Grand Slam final.

Over and above Stefanos Tsitsipas girlfriend identity, there is the puzzle of the nature of his relationship with Maria Sakkari.  Sakkari, a semifinalist at the US Open, and Tsitsipas have known one other their entire lives. Both of their mothers were aspiring tennis players who grew up to be friends at age 15.

In the Hopman Cup in December 2018, the two players defeated a US team, including Serena Williams and Frances Tiafoe. Tsitsipas and Sakkari have shared images together on Instagram in the past, but they have never been romantically involved, despite his earlier suggestion that he may.

According to Tennis Tonic, he described Sakkari as a lovely girl and a terrific character. The Greek player added that he could date her, but for some reason, he didn’t. On the other hand, Sakkari previously told Sport 360 that Tsitsipas inspires her and likes that he is always on tour with her.
