In an interview with Piers Morgan for TalkTv, Cristiano Ronaldo said that Manchester United’s hierarchy were trying to force him out of the club.

According to the Portuguese forward, Erik ten Hag is among the big names trying to force him out of the club he loves.

“Yes, not only the coach (Erik ten Hag), but another two or three guys around the club. I feel betrayed.” Cristiano Ronaldo said when asked if United’s hierarchy were trying to force him out of the club.

When asked if senior executives were trying to force him to leave, Cristiano Ronaldo said:

“I don’t care. People should listen to the truth. Yes, I felt betrayed, and I felt like some people don’t want me here, not only this year but last year too.”

Cristiano Ronaldo also said that he has no respect for Erik ten Hag in the interview. And the reason Ronaldo doesn’t respect ten Hag is that the Dutch manager doesn’t respect him.

“I don’t have respect for him because he doesn’t show respect for me; if you don’t have respect for me, I’m never gonna have respect for you.”

Cristiano Ronaldo Didn’t Know Ralf Rangnick

On Ralf Rangnick, Cristiano Ronaldo said he was surprised how Manchester United sacked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and hired someone he had never heard of.

“An interesting point is how a club like Manchester United sacked Ole, they bring in a sporting director Ralf Rangnick… This guy is not even a coach! A big club like Manchester United bringing in a sporting director.” Part of Ronaldo’s opinion on Ralf Rangnick.

Cristiano Ronaldo Digs At Wayne Rooney

Cristiano Ronaldo spoke of Wayne Rooney, saying that he doesn’t understand why the England international criticizes him.

Ronaldo thinks that Wayne Rooney is unhappy with him because he’s still playing at a high level while he (Wayne Rooney) is already retired.

The other reason why Ronaldo thinks Rooney is not his fan is that he looks better than the legendary footballer, who is now a manager.

Cristiano Loves Manchester United

Despite things not being good between Manchester United and Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portuguese international still loves the club.

Cristiano Ronaldo doesn’t understand what has been happening at Manchester United since Sir Alex Ferguson left. He hasn’t seen any progress at the club in recent years.

According to the 37-year-old, Manchester United has to change a lot of things if they want to see evolution.
