It is becoming increasingly frequent in football for players to stretch out the remaining time on their contracts to hold out for greater compensation, which has led to an increase in the number of free transfers.

It is anticipated that several of the sport’s most famous players, such as Robert Lewandowski, and Cristiano Ronaldo, will be eligible to sign free agent contracts in 2023.

During the previous campaign, elite players like Paolo Dybala and Paul Pogba saw the end of their respective contracts. Pogba, in particular, was rewarded handsomely upon returning to Juventus after his departure from Manchester United.

Rashford, a rising star in the youth system at Manchester United, has not been playing exceptionally well as of late.

Throughout the past couple of seasons, he has squandered a number of opportunities. The United star has not even come close to validating his status in England.

Rashford, who is only 24 years old, has the benefit of age on his side and has a good chance of turning his career around under the direction of the new manager Erik ten Hag.

The English man, who has played for United in 303 games in all competitions and contributed 57 assists and 93 goals, has a staggering worth of €60 million. Rashford has scored 93 goals and given 57 assists.

His current deal is set to expire in June of 2023, but if he has a solid start to the 2022-2023 campaign, the Red Devils may decide to prolong his stay at Old Trafford.

Tielsman is among the elite players whose contracts expire in 2023.

A good number of excellent centre midfielders are playing in the Premier League. Youri Tielemans, who plays for Leicester City, is unquestionably recognised as among the league’s best players.

Tielemans has been one of the most important players for the Foxes. The Leicester City star made his move to Leicester permanently from Monaco in July of 2019.

The 25-year-old is quick-witted and dedicated, and he does not shrink back from putting his foot down when necessary.

The Belgian has appeared in 158 games for Leicester across all competitions throughout the last three seasons, tallying 24 goals and recording the same number of assists.

The current estimation of Tielemans’ worth is 55 million euros, and he is scheduled to become a free agent in June 2023.

However, it is said that he has his sights set on playing for Arsenal. This means that he can leave Leicester well before the end of his current deal.

Lionel Messi- PSG

Following the conclusion of his time under contract with Barcelona in the summer of 2021, Lionel Messi signed for Paris Saint-Germain to continue his career.

If PSG does not move quickly enough to secure his services, the Argentine, valued at €50 million, will be able to freely swap teams when his current deal expires in June 2023.

After spending 17 illuminating seasons at Barcelona, Messi struggled to find his feet in the French city during the 2021-22 season.

This was because he had just moved there. He scored only 11 goals in 34 appearances across all competitions. This made him look like a pale imitation of his former greatness.

However, the Argentine captain excelled as a creator, helping PSG win the Ligue 1 title by registering 15 assists and contributing to the team’s overall success.

N’Golo Kante

Kante is still an essential player for Thomas Tuchel’s team. Chelsea will not want to give up a fan favourite easily since he is a central midfielder.

The fact that he has not indicated that he wants to quit the club should provide Chelsea with some cause for optimism. Despite the uncertainty surrounding the new course of action that the club will take due to its new ownership.

He still has quite a bit of gas in the tank. However, will he be practising his trade elsewhere by 2023?

It used to be that Arsenal and Everton were very interested in acquiring Crystal Palace’s talisman. Still, now that he is 29 years old, there is significantly less competition for the winger position.

Zaha and Crystal Palace are a great combination; nevertheless, this would most probably be Zaha’s last chance to secure a big move abroad (Jose Mourinho’s Roma, who are rumoured to be interested in him.

There is no talk of extending his contract at present.
