Naomi Osaka 2024 Season
Ahead of her return for the 2024 season, Osaka admitted that all she wanted was to play as many tournaments as she can.
However, she hasn’t been as lucky with a heavy loss at the Miami Open 2024. Her biggest surprise of the year was Osaka’s loss at the Miami Open 2024, which she won’t soon forget.
After giving birth to her first child in July 2023, Osaka made her WTA circuit comeback this year. Though she planned to participate in as many events as possible, she didn’t have high expectations for her return.
She returned a few quarters early, but she hasn’t played particularly well since, giving the impression that she hasn’t recovered fully.
Osaka was taken aback when she lost to Caroline Garcia in the Miami Open’s third round, as she is currently rated world No. 229.

She acknowledged that the loss in Florida had affected her deeply and that she is now more frustrated than ever.
“It’s extremely frustrating, and it’s probably going to sit with me for a very, very long time,” Tennis Majors reports.
Following her straight-set victory over Elisabetta Cocciaretto in the opening round, Osaka was fired up and eager to win again. She also won the tournament’s second-round match against Elina Svitolina in two sets.
She was hoping to advance, but Garcia was a strong foe, so she had to accept her fate. Osaka performed admirably throughout, displaying moments of exceptional skill. But the four-time Grand Slam champion gave up some big games and wasted several great chances in the opening and second sets.
Despite saving three set points before the first set went to a tie-break, Osaka lost to Garcia 2–6 in the tie-break. Before the Frenchwoman won the opening set on her sixth attempt, she did, however, manage to save two more set points.
