And of course, there are some stadiums which are considered better than others. So with that in mind, here are the top 10 best football stadiums in 2024 every fan should visit. The stadiums have been arranged in no particular order as it is actually difficult to pick one and recognize as the perfect stadium.

1. Wembley Stadium

Wembley Stadium is a well known football stadium in London, England. Known as the temple of football, Wembley has been the venue of some of football’s most famous moments over the years. In fact, it will be the venue for this year’s UEFA Champions League final.

Wembley boasts a capacity of 96,924 and is the largest stadium in Europe. Apart from hosting football matches, Wembley is also used as a venue for non-sporting activities such as pop concerts.

2. Santiago Bernabeu 

The Santiago Bernabeu is undoubtedly one of the best football stadiums in the world. Home to Spanish club Real Madrid, the Santiago Bernabeu has a capacity of 83,186. It was built in 1947 and the total cost of renovations in recent years cost over one billion euros, as per GiveMeSport. The Bernabeu is not just a stadium but a repository of the Los Blancos’ history.

3. Tottenham Hotspur Stadium 

Just as the name indicates, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is the home of English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur. The state-of-the-art ground is the newest on this list of the best football stadiums as Spurs recently moved here from White Hart Lane. According to sources, it cost Spurs around one billion to build the stadium.

4. Estadio Azteca 

Estadio Azteca is a well known stadium located in Mexico City. It is the home of Club America and Mexico and the venue where Diego Maradona scored his ‘Hand of God’ goal and the ‘Goal of the Century’.

The famous Estadio Azteca does not only rank among the best football stadiums but also the largest. The stadium, with the capacity to hold up to 105,000 fans, is the largest in Latin America.

5. San Siro 

You can’t mention the best football stadiums without including the famous San Siro on the list. Located in Milan, Italy, San Siro is home to Serie A clubs AC Milan and Inter Milan. One of the things that make the stadium standout among many others in the world is the fact that it offers the best possible visibility to every attendee. The San Siro’s name in full is Stadio Giuseppe Meazza and it was first built in 1926.

6. Old Trafford 

Old Trafford is a popular football stadium located in Manchester, England. Known as the “Theatre of Dreams”, it is the current home to Premier League club Manchester United. Old Trafford has a seating capacity of 76,000 and is the second largest stadium in the United Kingdom.

According to reports, new Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is planning to build a new stadium for the Red Devils. We are yet to see what will happen to Old Trafford, which is one of the best football stadiums in the world, after Manchester United relocate to the new ground.

7. Allianz Arena

Allianz Arena is not only a stadium but a famous landmark in Munich that is home of the football club FC Bayern Munich. The stadium has a beautiful design and fans who will travel from different parts of the world to this venue during the 2024 European Championships will get the home feel that Bayern Munich wish to convey.

Allianz Arena will host the first game of the Euros tournament, which will take place in the summer, between hosts Germany and Scotland.
