The English Premier League title race is approaching its business end with huge fixtures up for Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City.
Liverpool and Arsenal showed dominant displays over the weekend, with the Reds thrashing Brentford 4-1 and the Gunners humiliating Burnley 5-0. On the other hand, Manchester City were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw against Chelsea at home.
As of now, Liverpool are on top of the table with 57 points, two above second placed Arsenal who have scored eleven goals and conceded zero in their last two games. Meanwhile, Manchester City are third with 53 points, but we just can’t rule them out considering they have a game in hand.

The race for the Premier League title is heating up now and whoever drops points from now might fail to regain their spot in this season’s race. Here, we take a look at five games that will define if Jurgen Klopp gets the fairy-tale ending he deserves at Liverpool or he will only earn them a Champions League spot for next season. The German manager announced earlier this year that he will be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season.
1. Liverpool Vs Manchester City (March 10)
Liverpool host Manchester City at Anfield Stadium on March 10 in a game that could have a significant impact in the Premier League title race. Both teams are up for the title come the end of this season, making this fixture crucial for both sides.
The last time these two sides met was in November and the points were shared after the game ended 1-1 at Etihad Stadium in Manchester. Prior to that match, Pep Guardiola’s side had beaten the Reds two consecutive times. If Liverpool are truly title contenders, then they will have to prove it by collecting all three points against the Cytizens next month.
2. Everton Vs Liverpool (March 17)
The Merseyside derby will be played on March 17, and it is one of the games that could determine Liverpool’s fate in the Premier League title race. While many will argue that Liverpool are the favourites to win this match, the results might be shocking.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have been dominating this fixture but Everton will give it their all to save themselves from relegation. The Toffees are currently trapped in the relegation zone and might need to produce moments of magic like beating their long term rivals Liverpool to survive. Good luck to both sides because a draw won’t do good to anyone.

3. Manchester United Vs Liverpool (April 6)
While the clash between Manchester United and Liverpool is not considered a derby, it is one of those rivalries that really get heated up. Liverpool have been dominating United in the past few years but the trend might be changing considering Klopp’s side were held to a 0-0 draw at Anfield this campaign and lost at Old Trafford in 2022.
For Liverpool to win this match, they might need to produce the performance they showed during the 7-0 thrashing of their rivals in March 2023. A fumble by Liverpool on April 6 will not only see them lose bragging rights over United but it will also dent their Premier League title race.
4. Liverpool Vs Tottenham Hotspur (May 4)
The Liverpool vs Spurs fixture to be played in early May can actually be described as a blockbuster. Spurs have been magnificent this season, and even led the standings for several days before an injury crisis saw them lose key matches.
Ange Postecoglou and his men will be aiming to end the season with at least a spot in the top four, so they will definitely give it their all to beat Liverpool.

5. Aston Villa Vs Liverpool (May 11)
This maybe the hardest game left on paper for Liverpool this campaign, as a result, it carries significant impact on their Premier League title race. Unai Emery has done excellent work at Villa and will be looking forward to end the season in style by securing a top four spot for his side. Beating Liverpool is key for Villa, and if they do, Klopp and his men might suffer a huge setback in finishing on top of the table.
