Career
Leandro Paredes was just three years old when he began playing football at La Justina, a small football team in his home town. In 2002, he joined Boca Juniors and played for the club’s academy until 2010 when he was promoted to the senior team.
On his league debut, Boca Juniors suffered a 2-0 defeat to Argentino Juniors. He was part of Boca Juniors team that won the Argentine Primera Division: Apertura in 2011 and Copa Argentina the following year. He spent his last years as a Boca Juniors player on loan at Italian clubs Chievo and Roma.
During the 2015 summer transfer window, Roma signed Paredes on a permanent deal from Boca Juniors. The midfielder spent two seasons at the club and then joined Zenit Saint Petersburg on a four-year deal. Following his impressive performance in the Russian league, he was signed by Ligue 1 giants PSG in January 2019.
