Born in Martorell, Barcelona, Eric Garcia began his football journey at Barca’s academy La Masia. After going through La Masia’s youth set-up, Garcia joined Manchester City in 2017. He spent his first season at City playing for the under 19s in the UEFA Youth League.
Garcia joined up with the Manchester City first team during their 2018 pre-season in the United States. He eventually made his debut for the Cytizens in December as a starter in a EFL Cup quarter-final match against Leicester City. The game ended 1-1, with City winning on penalties.
On 21 September 2019, Eric Garcia made his Premier League debut as a substitute in City’s 8-0 victory over Watford City. He played two full games back to back for the first team over the Christmas and New Year period in 2019.
