Outgoings
Marc Cucurella

Marc Cucurella was signed from Brighton to Chelsea in a deal costing over £60 million, making him one of the most expensive benchwarmers in the Premier League at the moment. But this season, under Pochettino, he hasn’t played a single minute.
Manchester United has made a transfer offer for the Spaniard since they are currently playing without both of their starting senior left-backs, Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia, owing to injuries. During his news conference on Tuesday, Pochettino refrained from discussing a possible departure, noting that the player will be available for inclusion in their EFL Cup match against AFC Wimbledon on Wednesday.
Trevoh Chalobah
Trevoh Chalobah, another defender who has yet to play this season, has this week been connected to a transfer to Bayern Munich. Benjamin Pavard is moving on to Inter Milan, thus the German champions are seeking a successor. According to reports, Chelsea has rejected a loan bid and would rather make a permanent transfer.
Callum Hudson-Odoi
Callum Hudson-Odoi, 22, has been linked with Fulham throughout the summer, but it now seems like Nottingham Forest will prevail in the competition.
Could the winger and the man after him on this list be swapping places?
Incomings
Emile Smith-Rowe

This week, Emile Smith Rowe became a transfer target for Chelsea, much to the astonishment of almost everyone. The 23-year-old fulfills Pochettino’s desire for a winger who can also serve as an attacking midfielder.
Arsenal reportedly rejected the Blues’ proposal, and it has also been mentioned previously that a swap deal for Mykhailo Mudryk has been considered.
Brennan Johnson
Brennan Johnson makes sense as a possible addition if Pochettino is looking for a new right-winger. But according to Forest, the Wales international is worth £50 million, which is unquestionably an absurd sum of money to pay for a player who hasn’t demonstrated much beyond his lightning-quick pace. It makes sense that Chelsea have reportedly calmed down and may now focus on Rayan Cherki of Lyon. The 22-year-old is reportedly attracting interest from Tottenham as well.
Ivan Toney

Ivan Toney of Brentford has been linked to a number of teams, including Chelsea. The Blues are presently searching for a replacement number nine, but the Englishman won’t be allowed to play until January due to his suspension for violating the betting laws.
The 27-year-old is anticipated to be available at that time, however, it wouldn’t be surprising if Chelsea made an offer earlier in the summer transfer window to gain the start on their rivals.
Cole Palmer
Fabrizio Romano, a transfer expert, claims that Manchester City wants to get roughly £45 million for Cole Palmer this summer, despite Chelsea’s desire. The Blues are looking to add another attacker, and while they have a ten-man shortlist, sources claim Palmer is their main choice.
According to Romano, the 21-year-old is willing to switch to Stamford Bridge from the Etihad Stadium, particularly because Chelsea is so interested in recruiting him. The Italian journalist has also stated that talks are still going on between the two sides, and the Blues are sure they will land their man.
Joao Felix

According to rumors, Chelsea is taking Joao Felix seriously and is open to bringing back the Portuguese forward before the transfer window shuts. The 23-year-old played on loan at Stamford Bridge for the second part of the 2022–23 campaign but wasn’t given a long-term contract. Felix, however, is unpopular at Atletico Madrid and is planning to quit the team; the attacker is eager to join Barcelona.
However, despite Fabrizio Romano’s suggestion that the Catalans are looking for a method to sign the 23-year-old, their financial difficulties have prevented any action. However, according to a report from 90min, Mauricio Pochettino wants Chelsea to buy a versatile forward, and Felix fits the criteria. As a result, Chelsea are once again in the race.
