Dave was born on August 24 1974 in Staples, Minnesota to his parents Dave Joerger Sr. a former basketball coach and Judy Joerger, a homemaker.

He has two siblings Mike and Mark. Mike is a former college basketball player and coach who played college basketball at Minnesota State University and also played professionally in the Continental Basketball Association.

Mike then became an assistant coach at the Minnesota State University Moorhead and the University of Minnesota. He is currently the head coach of the Minot Magicians.

Mark on the other hand is a former college basketball player who played college basketball in Moorhead, Minnesota. He then worked as a financial advisor and is currently the president of a financial planning firm in Moorhead, Minnesota.

David is married to Amy Joerger and they have two children together, a daughter and a son.

DAVID JOERGER’S CAREER

Joerger has had a successful career as an assistant coach and as a head coach. He began his coaching career as an assistant coach for the Dakota Wizards of the International Basketball Association and eventually became the head coach.

He was then hired by the Memphis Grizzlies as their assistant coach where he served for six years before his promotion to head coach.

Jorger also served as a head coach of the Sacramento Kings for two seasons and was sacked when the team missed the playoffs in the two seasons he served them.

He was hired by the Philadelphia 76ers of the NBA as their assistant coach, a position he is serving to date.
