Cesc Fabregas began his football journey with CE Mataro where he showed signs of becoming a top baller. His first coach, Senor Blai, didn’t want Fabregas to join La Masia so he used to bench him during matches against Barcelona. However, this tactic didn’t last long and Fabregas ended up joining La Masia.

While at the academy, Fabregas played alongside future Barcelona stars Lionel Messi and Gerard Pique. Fabregas initially played as a defensive midfielder and he was so good such that he sometimes scored more than 30 goals in a season for the youth team.

Fabregas then returned to FC Barcelona in 2011 and spent three seasons with the Spanish side. During that period, he won the La Liga, Copa del Rey, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup and two Supercopa de Espana.

The star midfielder then returned to England and joined Chelsea. With the Blues, he won two Premier League titles, FA Cup and Football League Cup. The 36-year-old then moved to Monaco where he played for three years and then joined Como last year. Following his retirement, he became the manager of Como U19 and B teams.
