Sergio Llull was born in Mahon Menorca, Spain on November 15, 1987, to his father Paco Llull, also a former basketball player, and a grandson of a coach. He has a brother by the name Ivan Llull.

Real Madrid was so impressed and they extended his contract. After this, he led his team to the EuroLeague title win defeating Olympiacos, following the Spanish League championship.
With their Spanish league title, they won the triple crown with Llull being named the Spanish League finals MVP of the season.
Real Madrid extended his contract on a six-year deal with an annual salary of $ 2.97 million and a record buyout option of $31.45 million and in the season, he was named the EuroLeague MVP of the season. This was a breakthrough in his net worth.
