At six years, Sunday would do anything to never miss a football match with his friends and he got better at the sport.

Career
Sunday began his football career playing for Nigeria’s national team and he will forever be remembered for scoring a winning goal against Spain in a group stage at the 1998 World Cup.
Oliseh was also part of the Nigerian national football team that won the Atlanta 1996 Football Up at the Olympics and shortly after this, he was invited to Belgium for trials where he performed extremely well, winning him a new contract with the Belgian team RFC Liege.
At Liege, he played for four years later moving to other Clubs like Ajax, KRC Genk, AC Reggiana and Juventus F.C. Having played for Serie A clubs is a big achievement for any footballer.
Olise played in two World Cups in 1994 and 1998 and captained Nigeria in the 2002 AFCON competition though didn’t make it to the World Cup due to disciplinary reasons.

Soon after, he retired from international football playing for Nigeria for not being paid. He retired from Club football kicking off a coaching /Managerial career. He became a coach of the Nigeria Super Eagles and this gave him an impressive stat.
Sunday has achieved so much in his football career. He won the 1996 Olympics Gold medal, he was appointed as the Sports Director of KAS Eupen, a Belgian association football club based in the city of Eupen, Germany.
He worked as a team manager for R.C.S Vervietois, another Belgian association club from the municipality of Verviers, Liege.
Sunday also captained Nigeria’s national team in the African Cup of Nations competition. He was appointed to the Technical Study Group of the World’s football governing body, the FIFA World Cup.
