Celebrated F1 driver Lewis Hamilton is stoking a debate following his hangouts with Shakira who recently separated with her footballer husband Gerard Pique.
Hamilton picked the decorated Colombian music star from the rear of her £12 million beach property. He displayed his gallantry by whisking her away for a boat day with friends in Miami. In a fringed lilac bikini top and matching shorts, Shakira trotted down her own dock last week, and he made sure she didn’t have too far to walk.
Being spotted together on various occasions in recent weeks has sparked rumours about a relationship between Hamilton and Shakira. According to French publication Gentsu, the Mercedes driver appears to be flirting by lifting the mother of two whenever they meet.
In one instance, Hamilton quickly got out of an open-top cruiser to help Shakira hop on it for a day’s party. As Shakira got onto the vessel with an inflatable crocodile fastened to the roof, the 38-year-old British driver hurried to welcome her with some considerable passion.
Then, he donned a black sleeveless shirt, sunglasses, a white cap, a checkerboard and shorts all showing his tattoos. The ‘Wake Waka’ hitmaker adjusted to the heat in Miami by beaming as she sailed around Biscayne Bay with friends.
Later, Hamilton ensured she returned to her opulent new house safely, much to the surprise of her celebrity neighbours such as Jenifer Lopez, Matt Damon and Ricky Martin.

IS SHAKIRA DATING LEWIS HAMILTON?
Despite hanging out and acting ‘passionately’, Shakira and Hamilton maintain that they are just friends. The seven-time F1 World Champion was in town for the Miami Grand Prix which gave him a chance to spend time with the Colombian pop star.
Yet, in a brief video captured by a fan, Shakira seemed to sit down at Hamilton’s table with his friends and smiled at each other.
WHY DID SHAKIRA SEPARATE WITH GERARD PIQUE?
Shakira had an acrimonious breakup Pique who played for Barcelona and she decided to relocate to Miami in the US. One of the reasons their marriage ended was Pique’s affair with 23-year-old Clara Chia Marti but none of them has come clean on the real reason for divorce although Pique’s extramarital affair is in the public domain.
Pique and Shakira were together for 11 years and a nasty breakup is the last thing people expected from the estranged couple.
According to reports, Pique’s father “evicted” her from Pique’s house in April, which prompted her return to Miami. She left the Catalan city with her two kids to begin a new life in Florida, but she made no mention of the eviction notice in the farewell message she posted on Instagram.
Both Pique and Shakira revealed in November 2022 that they eventually agreed on child custody in a 12-hour meeting with their legal teams. They moved to a Barcelona court in December to legalise the deal.
Shakira’s desire to relocate to Miami, where she lived in the past and has family and was a pain point in their out-of-court settlement. Nevertheless, Pique has agreed to spend the holidays with his kids as part of the deal.

The ex-celebrity couple officially announced their divorce to Reuters on June 4, 2022, and asked the public to grant them privacy.
“We regret to confirm that we are separating. For the wellbeing of our children, who are our highest priority, we ask that you respect their privacy,” the statement read.
WHEN DID GERARD PIQUE START DATING CLARA CHIA MARTI?
Shortly after breaking up with the Hips Don’t Lie hitmaker, Pique publicly announced that he is dating Clara. The Camp Nou footballer and Clara had been dating for a while and it started when Shakira was away with their children.
A Spanish media site published images of the two sharing a k!ss at the Summerfest Cerdanya festival in Catalonia. Even with their silence on why they ended their relationship, it is evident that Pique’s affair with Clara led to it all.

Um, and yeah, it’s hard to talk about it, especially because I’m still going through it, and because I’m in the public eye and because our separation is not like a regular separation.
