David Goffin began playing tennis at a young age and has a win-loss record of 76-40 as a junior. In 2009 and 2010, Goffin played Futures and Challenger tournaments. He had his breakthrough in 2012 when he reached the quarterfinal of an ATP Tour tournament for the first time at the Chennai Open.
