Early life
Trent John Alexander-Arnold was born on October 7, 1998, in West Derby, the home of Liverpool Football Club’s training base, Melwood, Liverpool, England.
He has an elder brother, Tyler, who serves as his agent, and a younger brother, Marcel, who is three years younger.
He attended St Matthew’s Catholic Primary School before transferring to Crosby’s private school, St Mary’s.

Trent was noticed by Liverpool FC coach Ian Barrigan when he was six years old, and he contacted his parents with the offer of a place in the club’s academy. He began training at the academy every week and swiftly rose through the ranks.
Arnold has recounted how he was fortunate to be granted the opportunity to attend a half-term camp held by Liverpool FC, which led to his being awarded a place in the Merseyside club’s academy.
Trent left St Mary’s at the age of 14 to attend Rainhill High School, which is affiliated with Liverpool FC.
Trent began as a winger, having previously played in midfield, but switched to right-back during his stay at the academy, making the transition when he was 17 years old. Part of the reason for the switch was that the right-back position provided him with a clearer path into the first team at Anfield.
Arnold has claimed that he grew up as a Liverpool FC supporter and that the club’s Champions League run in 2005 motivated him.
Career
Alexander-Arnold made his senior debut for Liverpool FC against Tottenham Hotspur in the League Cup, after being fast-tracked through the club’s development system. Trent started the match and played 68 minutes before being replaced.
Trent signed a new long-term contract with Liverpool FC under Jürgen Klopp on November 8, 2016, alongside youth teammates Kevin Stewart and Ben Woodburn.
In the 2016-17 season, he made 12 appearances in all competitions for Liverpool and was named the club’s Young Player of the Season.
Trent scored his first competitive goal for the Reds on 15 August 2017, as he struck a free-kick in a 2-1 Champions League play-off round win over Hoffenheim.

On December 26, 2017, he scored his first Premier League goal for Liverpool Football Club in a 5-0 thumping of Swansea City at Anfield.
Alexander-Anold won his first major prize as a Liverpool FC player after cementing himself as a regular in the team during the 2018-19 season, contributing to Jürgen Klopp’s side winning the Champions League.
He maintained his excellent form as Liverpool FC’s first-choice right-back in the 2019-20 season, scoring four goals and providing 13 assists in 38 games to help the Reds win the Premier League title for the very first time in club history, despite the season being disrupted by the coronavirus pandemic.
Alexander-Arnold represented England in the U-16, U-17, U-18, U-19, and U-21 levels.
