Nigerian Grammy Award winner Burna Boy is set to perform at the final of UEFA Champions League scheduled for June 10, in Istanbul, Turkey.
The Afrobeats crooner will perform at Atatürk Olympic Stadium. He took to his socials to announce this.
“Hey everyone, this is Burna Boy and I’ve got some big news. I will be performing at the UEFA Champions League Final Kick-off Show by Pepsi C’mon Let’s go,” he posted on Twitter.
One the other hand, UEFA informed football fans from all over the world that the African Giant will be in Turkey for this event.
“Big news! @burnaboy will be performing at the Champions League final in Istanbul alongside another amazing headliner!” the UEFA tweet read.
Tweets that followed showed massive support for the Nigerian crooner set to perform in his second biggest show this year.

In reaction, his fans had this to say.
“Performing in a Champions League is bigger than World Cup,” StarBoyyMiEezy_Music said.
Iryn Deuces noted: “This will be massive. I pray @Arsenal makes it to the finals… fingers crossed.”
Agaba added “Well, this sounds interesting for African (Nigerian) music.”

The 2020 championship game was originally slated to take place in Istanbul, but the coronavirus epidemic forced the event to be moved to Lisbon, Portugal’s Stadium da Luz.
The flagship fixture was then once again relocated to Portugal in 2021, this time to Porto’s Stadium do Dragao.
The stadium, which bears Mustafa Kemal Ataturk’s name as the first Turkish president, has a capacity of over 75,000, according to UEFA.
