Early Life 

Beth Phoenix biography has it that she was born on November 24, 1980, to Polish parents in New York, U.S. She attended Notre Dame High School in Elmira. During her high school days, Beth ran track and played tennis. 

Beth proceeded with her studies at Canisius College in Buffalo, New York, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and Public Relations. 

She fell in love with professional wrestling at the age of eleven after winning a colouring contest with a prize of tickets to a television taping for the World Wrestling Federation. She began wrestling on the Notre Dame High School scholastic wrestling and became the first female varsity wrestler in the school’s history. 

Beth wanted to become a professional wrestler and that’s why she worked hard in amateur wrestling. As an amateur, she was the Women’s Champion in North-East Wrestling and New York State Fair, both in 1999. 

Career 

Now onto the heart of Beth Phoenix biography, the wrestler began her professional wrestling career in 2001 on the independent circuit. She became the inaugural GLORY Champion and worked for other promotions such as ROH, Shimmer, WXW and NWA.

She signed her first contract with WWE in July 2004 and was sent to Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW). She began managing Christ Masters and had a quick run on RAW as Trish Stratus’s friend before returning to OVW. 

Beth claimed the OVW Women’s Championship in 2006 after defeating Serena. She won the title on two different occasions before beginning her journey on WWE’s main roster.

The legendary wrestler won the WWE Women’s Championship at No Mercy in 2007 after defeating Michelle McCool. Marella and Phoenix defeated Kofi Kingston and Mickie James at SummerSlam to win the Intercontinental and Women’s Championship, respectively. 

After making sporadic appearances and feuding with other female wrestlers, Beth Phoenix left WWE in 2012. She returned in 2017, the same year she was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. She has since been making sporadic appearances.
