The accident’s circumstances are still unclear. Hoonigan, Block’s team, issued the following statement in response to the tragedy:

“He will be incredibly missed.”

Naturally, Ken was one of the most well-known rally car drivers in the world. He has been competing in this sport since the mid-2000s, consistently placing in the top three.
Block participated in motocross and skateboarding, among other action sports, in addition to driving rally vehicles. He also snowboarded competitively.
Block grew to be a social media superstar over time, gaining millions of online subscribers and fans.
Ken made his imprint on the field of skate fashion as well. In 1994, Block and his business partner Damon Way established the DC Shoes company.
Block began his rallying career in 2005, but it was his incredible Gymkhana YouTube videos that would really propel him to sideways stardom. Racking up hundreds of millions of views with increasingly bonkers cars, courses and stunts, the Gymkhana videos will have helped inspire a generation of petrolheads.

A statement from Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office said: “On January 2 2023 at approximately 2:00pm, the Wasatch County 911 Center received a call reporting a snowmobile accident in the Mill Hollow area.
“Search and Rescue, along with law enforcement from Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office, Utah State Parks and the US Forest Service responded.
“The driver, Kenneth Block, 55-year-old male out of Park City, Utah, was riding a snowmobile on a steep slope when the snowmobile upended, landing on top of him. He was pronounced deceased at the scene from injuries sustained in the accident.”
Ken is survived by his wife, Lucy and 3 children. Block’s 16-year-old daughter Lia is also a driver.
