Mo Salah’s fine form has enabled him to set some records in the English Premier League. This article will look at five interesting records held by Mohamed Salah in the English Premier League.

1. Most Premier League Player of the Month awards in a single season

It is not an easy task to perform consistently in the English Premier League. This is why it is difficult for even the best players to win the Premier League Player of the Month several times in a single season.

Mohamed Salah is the player who has won the Premier League Player of the Month many times in a single season. He won the award three times in his debut season at Liverpool.

Salah gave some breathtaking performances during the 2017-18 season. The talented winger scored 32 goals in 36 appearances for Liverpool that season.

2. Most Premier League goals scored by an African player

Top African players like Didier Drogba, Solomon Kalou, Papiss Cisse and Asamoah Gyan showed their goalscoring prowess during their time in the English Premier League. Mo Salah has surpassed all the African players to record the most goals in the Premier League.

As of now, Mo Salah has scored 120 goals in his five seasons in the English Premier League. The 30-year-old is followed by Didier Drogba, who scored 104 goals for Chelsea in the English Premier League.

Salah currently has the same goals as Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard.

3. Most goals in a single 38-game Premier League season

It has been a task to score even 20 goals since the 38-game format was introduced in the Premier League. Very few players have managed to score more than 30 goals in a single season, and Mohamed Salah is one of them.

The Egyptian winger holds the record for most Premier League goals scored in a single season. Salah scored 32 goals during the 2017-18 season. The record was previously held by Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Suarez, who managed 31 goals in the Premier League.

Due to the difficulty level of the Premier League, it might take some time before someone breaks Mo Salah’s record.

4. Fewest games to reach 100 Premier League goal involvements by a non-European player

Apart from scoring goals, Mohamed Salah also provides assists to his teammates. The Liverpool winger holds the record for the fewest games to reach 100 goal involvements by a non-European player.

Salah reached 100 Premier League goal involvements in just 116 matches, a contribution of 0.82 goals per game. Salah surpassed Aguero, who had 100 Premier League goal involvements in 118 appearances.

5. Most goals scored against Manchester United in a single season
