Since beginning his career, Virat Kohli has won 36 Man of the Match awards. Virat currently plays for Delhi in domestic cricket and Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League. 

Apart from being the active player with most Man of the Match awards, Virat has set several records in the cricket world. The former Indian national cricket team captain is the most successful Indian Test captain, with 40 wins in 68 matches. 

Virat Kohli is the world record holder for the fastest 23,000 international runs. 

4. Shahid Afridi, 43

Shahid Afridi is widely regarded as the greatest all-rounder of all time. The Pakistan international is one of the most recognized cricket players worldwide. 

Shahid Afridi, popularly known as Boom Boom, won 43 Man of the Match awards during his career days. 

The legendary all-rounder began his cricket career as a leg-spinner. Shahid Afridi played for teams in the Indian Premier League, Pakistan Super League, Lanka Premier League and T20 Blast. He also captained the Pakistan national cricket team. 

3. Sanath Jayasuriya, 48

Sanath Jayasuriya is among cricket players who have changed the course of the game. His explosive battling in the mid-1990s initiated the hard-hitting modern-day batting strategy of all nations. 

He is the only player in cricket to amass over 12,000 runs and more than 300 wickets in one day of international fixtures. The Sri Lankan cricketer and former captain is widely considered one of the best all-rounders in history. 

Sanath Jayasuriya won the Man of the Match award 48 times during his career days. Sanath retired from cricket after 20 years in the sport. He played for domestic teams such as Bloomfield, Ruhuna Rhinos, Mumbai Indians and Somerset, among others.

2. Jacques Kallis, 57

Jacques Kallis is South Africa’s greatest batsman of all time. The legendary cricketer is the only cricketer who has scored more than 10,000 runs and taken over 250 wickets in both ODI and Test matches. 

Jacques Kallis grabbed 292,273 and 12 wickets and scored 13289, 11579 and 666 runs during his career days. He won 57 Man of the Match awards. 

The South African international was inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame in August 2022. The legendary cricketer played for domestic teams such as Western Province, Cape Cobras, Warriors and Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Sachin Tendulkar is widely regarded as the greatest batsman in cricket history. The Indian former international cricketer is the most accomplished batsman. 

Sachin Tendulkar holds most of the records in cricket. He won Man of the Match a record 62 times during his career, which ended in November 2013. Tendulkar is also the recipient of most Man of the Series awards. 

Sachin Tendulkar, dubbed Little Master, was inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame in 2019. Little Master holds the record for most hundreds and runs in ODIs and Tests.
