Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have won a total of 12 Ballon D’or awards. Messi has won seven while Ronaldo has won five.

It is the dream of any footballer to play in the same team with Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Any footballer would be lucky to call them a teammate. It gives them a lifetime opportunity to witness their skills and learn from them.

Well, there are several footballers who have played with both Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. We are going to look at top five famous footballers who have played with both Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

1. Gerard Pique

Gerard Pique is one of the best defenders in the world. He is one of the most decorated players in the football world having won numerous trophies in his career. Pique is among the players who have won a UEFA Champions League and a FIFA World Cup.

The Spanish international is one of the few players who have played with both Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Gerard Pique played with Cristiano Ronaldo during his early career days at Manchester United. Pique joined the Red Devils from FC Barcelona youth team in 2004.

He spent four seasons at Manchester United where he was teammates with the Portuguese star. However, Pique struggled to get playing time at Old Trafford. He only played 15 times with Cristiano Ronaldo across all competitions at Manchester United.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Pique parted ways in 2008 as the latter joined FC Barcelona. Pique played with Lionel Messi from 2008 to 2021 at FC Barcelona. He won more trophies with Messi than he did with Cristiano Ronaldo.

2. Carlos Tevez

Carlos Tevez will always be remembered as one of the greatest strikers to ever play in the English Premier League. Tevez played for West Ham, Manchester United and Manchester City in England.

He was teammates with Cristiano during his time at Manchester United. They formed one of the best attacking partnerships in the English Premier League. They won a UEFA Champions League tile and back-to-back EPL.

Tevez played with Lionel Messi at the Argentine national team. Tevez didn’t enjoy the same success with Lionel Messi as he did with Cristiano.

3. Nelson Semedo

Nelson Semedo is among the few lucky players who have played with both Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Semedo was teammates with Messi at Barca. He joined FC Barcelona in 2017 where he won back-to-back La Liga titles.

Semedo moved to English Premier League in 2020 where he joined Wolves. Well, Semedo has been teammates with Cristiano since 2015. The two play together for the Portuguese national team. The two helped Portugal win the UEFA Nations League in 2019.

4. Angel Di Maria

He played with Cristiano during his time at Real Madrid. Di Maria played four seasons at Real Madrid winning the UEFA Champions League among other trophies. The Argentine parted ways with Ronaldo in 2014 when he joined Manchester United.

Well, Di Maria is currently at Paris Saint Germain. The skilled winger is playing with Messi at the French club. Di Maria has also been playing with Lionel Messi at the Argentine national team where he has made over 100 appearances.

5. Paulo Dybala

Well, Paulo Dybala is one of the most talented attackers in the world. The Argentine is also among the few players who have enjoyed playing on the same team with Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

CR7 and Dybala played together at Juventus. They won several trophies in the Serie A. Dybala has been playing with Messi for the Argentine national team since he was a teenager. The two were part of Argentina’s squad that won the Copa America in 2021.
