Tactics training is important for basketball teams. Players need lots of practice and training to successfully execute the tactic, as well as improve the fluency and efficiency of the same. Coaches may be limited in explaining player movement and giving insight to the success of a defensive or offensive tactic as players may not be immersed in the learning or experience of the formation.
However, with the use of virtual reality assistant technology, tacticians can both illustrate and design target tactics to suit the needs of his team. The virtual content can be accessed via the VR headsets which the athletes put on. Now the athletes can ‘enter’ the mind of their coaches in a virtual environment and experience how the target tactics are executed.
The coach can make adjustments to the training sessions in real time to get the most of the tactics and analyze potential loopholes. On the other end, the user (athlete) can improve their game play such as shooting, passing, decision-making, better movement and shooting accuracy.

The VR assistant can realistically simulate training situations according to the input tactic to offer variety of possible scenarios in the game to elicit different response from the user. The content is highly customizable to strengthen the tactical nous of the manager, and improving the effectiveness of the training sessions to the players.
Data can be analyzed to determine any changes on the style of play and development of the players. Repeated scenarios offer athletes better understanding of the tactics and provide them with the knowledge needed to execute the plan successfully.
