Why the well-oiled Napoli’s team could restore their quest for Serie A title after 31 years

Based in Naples, Campania a southern city in Italy, Napoli is dusting off Serie A teams including the defending champions Inter Milan and Juventus who have enjoyed the title for quite some good time.

This season the Serie A competition is so interesting to watch than any other competition in the world, and just as former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand said while complimenting on Liverpool game, it’s a Tv must-watch game.

With the departure of Antonio Conte from Inter Milan together with Romelu Lukaku, the club has not had the sting it had last season and their chances of winning the title on a consecutive run depends on how large they pick themselves early. Juventus on the other hand let Cristiano leave the club to Manchester United and it is on a mini revamp this season and with how things are going Napoli are still favorites to lift the Italian top-flight title.

The race to clinch this title is going to be fascinating, teams such as Juventus, AC Milan, Inter Milan, and Napoli have thrown their weights behind their players to give it all for the better of the club.

The last time Napoli won the Italian league was back in 1989/90. They have a strong squad and an experienced manager in Luciano Spalletti who could bring an end to a 31-year title drought.

Nonetheless, with the results produced so far, Napoli is staging a war that only will be won by themselves, their statistics are just but impressive.

Napoli can only be likened to Liverpool of England, it does not rely on players’ moments to give them wins, The team is so united and compact.

The presence of Andre Zambo Anguissa and Fabian Ruiz in the midfield is a big wall to climb, they have mastered the game well and offer the needed pressing to create more chances in every game.

As they say, the defense wins you games, this quote demonstrates the Napoli’s defense is a hard nut to crack. With Knowledge and experience, Spalletti will bring the good from his players. He has won the Italian Cup twice with AS Roma of Mourinho currently and has more success to his name in Russia. He is a touchline person and so enthusiastic.

3. Victor Osimhen’s 

The Nigerian international in Napoli’s attack is bearing fruits so far and it is evident, Osimhen has driven Napoli to a good course so far from the early stages.

In overall nine appearances for the club this season, the 22 years old has registered 8 goals and provided an assist, quite a stats of legend in offing.

Signed from Lille in September 2020, Victor Osimhen has won the FIFA U-17 World Cup.

The combination of Lorenzo Insigne and Victor Osimhen is a threat to Italian defenders, the two have made thirty-four passes between them, which is the most among any of Europe’s attacking duo.

His height and ability to challenge for aerial duels and strength to shoot from distance are vital for Napoli this season. The Nigerian is having a good season so far.

4. Good start

Napoli’s start to the season is far much better than any other team in Europe top league’s. The Luciano Spalletti men have collected 24 points in their 8 outings for the League competition which means they have not lost any points on the way.

This form places them in a better position to challenge for the Serie A title and will be looking to maintain through January 2022 and if the outfit is still leading the league table by January 2022, they will become stronger favorites to finally lift the league title.
