In a move to include more female match officials in their competitions, the Confederation of African Football (Caf) has made three appointments for the upcoming Under-23 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) in Egypt.
Rwandan referee Salma Mukasanga will lead the female match official trio, joined by assistant referees Diana Chikotesha and Fathia Jermoumi of Zambia and Morocco respectively.
The female trio have been included in the 25-man list of match officials consisting of 12 referees and 13 assistant referees.
The Under-23 Afcon runs from November 8 to 22 in Cairo.
