Man City target potential transfer deal for Villa's Jack Grealish - Sports Leo

Six-times Premier League champions Manchester City are reportedly eyeing a potential transfer deal for Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish.

According to reports, City manager Pep Guardiola is looking to swoop Grealish to Etihad Stadium.

According to The Independent, the Spaniard has consulted Kevin De Bruyne about the potential signing, who played against him in the international break.

The Belgium international is a fan of Villa’s captain and would be open to welcome the 25-year-old in Manchester.

The England international has bee one of the outstanding players in the League and has attracted plenty of top clubs.

Grealish’s future looked unclear last season as he was on the brink of an exit to Manchester United but he penned down a new five-year deal contract to keep him at the club until 2025.

Reports suggest clubs would have to pay up to £100million for Grealish’s signature should they want to buy him.

Following the departure of David Silva to Real Sociedad, City have been without a creative midfielder.

Guardiola had said the club would not really invest in the role as Phil Foden could fill the gap left by the legendary playmaker.

However, it would prove to be hard for the Citizens to land the high-flying Englishman anytime soon.
