Although Paul is not too stringent on the team that picks him, he is focused on its financial commitment, strategy and opportunity. This is why he is sitting out on having a ‘two-way deal.’

Will Bronny James be in the 2024 Draft?

The young James is in the NBA’s 2024 draft. He showed how talented he is at the NBA Draft Combine held in Chicago in May 2024.

He maintained a steady second position of the 71 players with his two 3-point shooting drills. His speed and explosiveness make him a top prospect for this year’s draft.

Further, he netted a total of 13 points in his team’s scrimmage and didn’t stop there. The 19-year-old put on a show with his perimeter shooting skills and explosiveness at the Lakers’ practice ground.

There were concerns about his eligibility for the NBA draft this year following a cardiac arrest scare in 2023. He was at a practice session at USC when he suddenly collapsed and was rushed to hospital last July.

Doctors at Mayo Clinic advised him to take time off basketball and rest. He was only 18 then. They cleared him after three months and he returned to playing basketball once more.

How Many Draft Picks do the Lakers Have in 2024?

Los Angeles Lakers have two draft picks in 2024 and James is a person of interest as far as the draft goes. Many are waiting to see if he will end up in his father’s team given his impressive prospect this draft season.

June 27 is the final deadline that NBA teams have to pick their drafts; it is just a matter of time before we learn where James ends up.

Paul admits that he has received many calls from different teams and is using the elimination method to get him to the best team.

He has at least three teams in mind, crossing out several issues. Among them are strategy and financial commitment.

Does he have chances with the Lakers according to Paul? Yes and no. The agent notes that the Lakers have a good prospect but it is fine if they choose not to pick him.

He is not bothered by talks that father and son would play in the same team as long as the Lakers pick him organically.

Paul also has realistic expectations about his client noting that he is far from an outstanding player but also the best to teach.

Further, Klutch Sports is ready to deal with a situation where any of the prospective teams does not pick him.

LeBron James has in the past stated that he will only retire when he plays with his son. He is soon turning 40 and his son’s draft is crucial.
