  • He is an Egyptian professional footballer
  • He plays as a forward for Premier League club Liverpool and captains the Egypt national team
  • Next season marks the end of his contract at Liverpool

Mohammed Salah’s contract at Liverpool ends next season and he is still a high target for Saudi Pro League clubs, meaning he could be sold in this summer’s transfer window. There were rumours of a possible move to a Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad during the summer of 2023.

With only one year remaining for his contract at Liverpool, this puts him in a position where he can now negotiate on a free transfer next year. With  his Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp leaving this summer, this could influence his decision to either stay or go for a new challenge.

Liverpool renewed his contract in 2023,  when he signed a long-term deal making him the highest-paid  player in the history of the club. Since joining the club, he has been a prolific goal scorer and has won the Premier league Golden Boot three times.

His contribution for the team is immense and he has been a top scorer and this would earn him another contract extension at Liverpool while other interested clubs would be forced to dig deeper into their pockets for a transfer bid.
