Italian tennis player Jannik Sinner ranking of world No.4 is the only thing he has a huge dream for in future and not anything else.
Sinner surprised many tennis fans with his calm demeanour celebrating less after winning his first Grand Slam at the Australian Open 2024. But, why would he not celebrate as much as you would expect having made a phenomenal step in his tennis career?
What is Jannik Sinner Ranking After Australian Open Victory?
The Italian has an ATP ranking of world No.4. He says his biggest dream is becoming world No. 1 and for this, he has to remain focused. Sinner explained that although he won a major slam recently, he did not celebrate as much as people expected because he has a bigger vision of what he wants in his career.

He spends a lot of time on the court practising and also in the gym to maintain a good physical form.
“I don’t like talking about ATP ranking. I just try to be happy on the pitch and improve as a player. This is the only thing I can control, the rest I can’t. I’m happy to be ATP No.4 right now. Definitely my dream is to become the new ATP No.1. I will work as hard as I can to make it happen,” he told ATP media in an interview recently.
The 22-year-old has 8070 points while Novak Djokovic who is the current world No.1 has 9855 points closely followed by Carlos Alcaraz with 9255. Daniil Medvedev who he defeated in the Melbourne finals has 8765 points in third position.
What is Sinners Nationality?
Forget Jannik Sinner ranking for a moment. A lot of people think he is an American tennis player but he is an Italian-born and bred star working his way up the ATP ranking charts. Born in Innichen, in the South Tyrol area of Northern Italy, on August 16, 2001, Sinner enjoys that he is the son of Johann and Siglinde Sinner.
His mother Siglinde is German but his father is Italian. Both his parents work in the hospitality industry back home with his dad being a reputable chef.

His biggest dream is clinching the world No.1 ranking and he is doing all he can to get it. Playing at the Rotterdam Open made him realise that serves can make or break a winner.
However, he has an even bigger tactic to get him to the dream Jannik Sinner ranking. He told Nederlandse Omroep Stichting in the Netherlands where he is participating at the Rotterdam Open that he is making crucial choices in his life.
Among them is saying “no” to anything that stands in the way of achieving his dreams. Sinner acknowledges that winning the Australian Open 2024 only challenges him to do better.
“I said no to many things because tennis and returning to training are the absolute priority…I have to train again and start from scratch,” he said adding that he gets so much attention back in Italy since his Melbourne victory.
“I get a little more attention, especially in Italy. When I arrived after Melbourne there were a lot of people. It was something new for me to experience. I’m having a great time and I thank everyone.”
A while back, Sinner disclosed that his role model will always be retired tennis star Roger Federer and not Novak Djokovic whom he also gets along well with.
He said that his Melbourne victory brought so many questions about who between Federer and Djokovic is his role model.
The two players have shaped the tennis careers of many players, especially the Sinner’s generation and they look up to them so much more than anyone can imagine.
“My role model is always Federer,” Sinner answered adding that he barely thinks about Djokovic’s 24 Grand Slams.
